Here's what members are saying about Living Waters:

LWLC is like a 2nd home for me. It is a place where I am accepted for who I am. I can worship God and not worry about "judgement".

I come to LWLC sometimes full of worship, other times struggling with daily life and broken. Whatever my situation, at the time, I feel welcomed and have a real sense of community. The members here are authentic and really care about you.

  Verse of the Month:

“The angel said to the shepherds, “Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign for you:

you will find a child wrapped in bands of cloth and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favors!”

Luke 2:10-14

January Sermon Series ~

Reset: God’s Gift to You in Faith

It’s a new year: new goals, new hopes, new resolutions, but how long do we stay the course? How long before life takes an unexpected turn? We are working our way through Luke’s Gospel to rediscover stories of Jesus through whom God offers a holy “reset” button, a gift that meets us with mercy and invites us to follow in faith.

Jan 8:   Begin Here (Jesus’ Baptism – Luke 3:1-22)

Jan 15: Start with Why (Jesus’ Sermon in his Hometown – Luke 4:14-30)

Jan 22: New Operating System (Fishing for People – Luke 5:1-11)

Jan 29: Time to Update (Healing on the Sabbath – Luke 6:1-16)

Part 2 of the Sermon Series:

January 15

Start with Why

(Jesus’ Sermon in his Hometown – Luke 4:14-30)

Jesus’ experience in the wilderness clarified who he was, what he was about, and what he was called to do. When he returns to his hometown of Nazareth, he claims his identity, mission and purpose.  As we think about our own wilderness experiences, may they serve to strengthen us in our relationship with God so that we are more clear about our own identity, mission and purpose.
